11.Dec.2009 Holiday reading

end of reading

Hey, you! What’s on your holiday reading list, huh? I’m planning to read Gilead by Marilynne Robinson, Sophie’s World by Jostein Gaarder and The Best American Non-Required Reading, edited by Dave Eggers.

Any recommendations? What books are you looking forward to getting into over the festive season?

I bought Mark Twain’s “Roughing It” but can’t really seem to get into it. So I’m reading Mad Cows by Kathy Lette, but it’s really weird. So I’m simultaneously reading a guilty-pleasure by Sophie Kinsella.

oh gosh dave eggers is just the man of the moment, isn’t he! i picked up his wild things novel in borders yesterday but at $40 i think it’s best left for a sale…
this summer i’m going to finish the picture of dorian gray and hopefully start alice’s adventures in wonderland and through the looking glass.
